Yohji works arround the idea of imperfections and effortless craftsmenship. Both Y-3 and Yohji’s archives showcases a bold playfullnes with threads; from laces, thick stitches to embroideries.

This capsule is looking into a long term reasearch around passement and sticthes as way to construct and link pannels. The capsule is re interpretating Adidas originals staples into a Y-3 lens.

The process : As a designer, my favourite medium is to experiment with physical materials and make patterns, creating shapes from scratch by hand based on my image research. New opportunities and ideas emerge. Shoes are a physical product at the end.
I often use my experiments to do photoshop renders which inform a new visual.
