This cross-disciplinary project was completed as a part of a 5 weeks DSKD product creation intensive, sponsored by ECCO.
“In a constantly changing world we might rethink citizen’s security and how urban mobility is organized. Thinking about footwear as the main mean of human locomotion, we should take precautions “IN CASE of something happens”.
Based on the analogy of the airplane, we created a shoe collection that envision emergency situations and explore a solution for those . We tooked a fun and ironic approach which resulted in a rebel shoe collection.

The Colors choices are based on a desaturated world, translating the fear of the citizens contrasted with neon highlits as a reference to the emergencies answers.

Protecting, cushioning, inflating, storing, gears are keywords of our concept. We tried to visualize them througth materials. How could we translate safety in a tangible way .
